And there she stood, books pressed against her chest, bag loosely hung on her shoulder and heavy luggage dragging behind her. She took a deep breath and walked in nervously as she whisked away the strands of hair from her face that blurred the view of what she was to call “home” -home being the fact she would spend more time there then she would in her actual home-
Yes, she was boarding. This poor creature was to spend her entire school year not only studying during the day but also locked in her room on school premises. “Fantastic” she thought as she placed her luggage on the floor next to her bed. “I guess this is my only place for privacy from now on” sighing, she threw herself on the bed and buried her face in to the lumpy pillow that lay there. “why am I so nervous” she thought, “I was so excited before coming but now I feel like curling up in a ball and hiding under my bed”. She turned around and fluffed her pillow to find a small letter under it:

“Marissa, welcome to your new room here on the residence of Bella Vista International collage. We hope you feel right at home, if there’s anything you ever need don’t hesitate to go to the staff room and ask for assistance. We will see you tomorrow at school.

“God, it feels like I’m in a hotel” she moaned. “Well at least they took the time to give me a warm welcome I can’t complain about that”. Now staring at the ceiling she contemplated on what her first day of school would be like.
She soon decided to sort out her things and take a shower to settle herself down for school the next day. 2 hours passed and she seemed to feel more herself as she sat on her bed, hair dripping from the warm shower she had taken 5 minutes before. She towel dried and brushed her chestnut brown hair before tucking herself in. She soundly closed her eyes and quietly hummed a soothing melody. “Tomorrow will be very interesting…” she said while softly exhaling before falling into a light sleep.
